Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: August 2026

This policy is provided as a template. Review with a qualified Israeli attorney before publishing.

1. Who We Are

NetFortress provides managed IT and cybersecurity services for small and medium-sized businesses in Israel. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website.

For privacy-related inquiries, contact us through the contact form on this website.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

When you submit our consultation request form, we collect: first name, last name, company name, business email address, phone number, number of employees, the service you are interested in, and your region. We also collect the content of any message you submit.

With each submission we record your consent choices: the required acknowledgement that lets us respond to your enquiry, and separately whether you opted in to marketing email. We store the date and time of those choices, the version of the consent wording you were shown, and the address of the page you submitted the form from.

Providing these details is voluntary. The fields marked as required are the ones we need in order to answer you; without them we cannot respond to the enquiry.

We do not collect sensitive personal data as defined under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide to respond to your consultation request, assess whether our services match your needs, and communicate with you about that request. Submitting the form triggers an automatic confirmation email so you know we received it. Handling your request and sending that confirmation are part of answering you; they are not marketing.

We send marketing email - occasional updates, security insights, and offers - only to people who ticked the separate, optional marketing checkbox on the form. That box is never ticked for you in advance, and the required privacy acknowledgement is not consent to marketing.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing your enquiry is based on your consent, given when you submit the contact form, and on the steps needed prior to entering into a service agreement with you. We may also process data to comply with a legal obligation.

Marketing email is based on your separate, affirmative opt-in. You can withdraw it at any time, either through the unsubscribe link in any marketing message or by contacting us, and we will stop sending marketing without affecting how we handle an open service request.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data collected through contact forms for up to 24 months from the date of submission, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.

If a service agreement is entered into, data may be retained for the duration of the agreement and for up to 7 years thereafter as required by Israeli law.

6. Data Sharing

What you submit through the contact form is transmitted to Zoho CRM, where we manage enquiries and follow them up. This is a different service from the Zoho SalesIQ live chat described in section 8: the CRM holds the details you deliberately submitted, while SalesIQ handles chat sessions and loads only if you accept chat cookies.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share data with service providers who assist in operating this website or delivering our services, subject to appropriate data processing agreements. These currently include Google (analytics and tag management) and Zoho (CRM and live chat), as described above and in section 8.

We may disclose data if required by Israeli law or a valid court order.

7. Your Rights

Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, you have the right to: access personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data where we have no legal obligation to retain it; and object to processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the consultation form. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies & Analytics

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks you to accept or decline analytics and chat cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser (under the key "nf_cookie_consent") so we do not ask again on every page. Until you choose, only storage needed for basic functionality is used.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site. These run under Google Consent Mode v2, which defaults all analytics and advertising storage to "denied" until you accept. In practice this means the Google scripts load when the page loads, but they do not write analytics cookies or collect identifiable analytics data unless and until you accept. If you accept, analytics cookies are set to measure aggregated usage; if you decline, they remain disabled.

We also offer a live chat powered by Zoho SalesIQ. The chat widget loads only after you accept, and it sets its own cookies to operate the chat session.

Our analytics and chat processors are Google and Zoho, who process this data on our behalf. You can withdraw consent at any time by declining in the banner or clearing the saved choice in your browser; we will then stop setting analytics and chat cookies. We will update this policy and the consent banner if our use of cookies changes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
